I enjoyed a lovely day spent with my friend checking out some wonderful Christmas decor sales at a couple of shops in Summerside...and a delicious lunch at the Starlight Diner....(a retro 50's diner).....
First stop did not disappoint...some beautiful pieces to enjoy....
I really wanted to purchase one of the gorgeous Christmas framed pieces....but I have no where to actually hang one! Don't think I didn't wrack my brain...*sigh*........
This gorgeous leather sofa...*thud* - so soft & supple! Everything was priced 25% off!!
I did pick up a couple of little cartons of cider spices....we mix in with hot apple juice...yummy!
Christmas trees beautifully decorated...in various colour schemes....this one done is a woodland theme...
These little sheep were adorable!! It was hard not to bring a few home...
My only purchase was the cider mixes....my bestie picked up a Christmas print for her dining room. We decided to check out a furniture/decor store close by....Maude Home. I found this wonderful book...a compilation of stories & photos detailing the loss and devastation when Hurricane Fiona unleashed her fury upon us....
I think Mr. Seventies will enjoy looking back....at the aftermath of the storm...will gift him the book. Proceeds from sales of the book are being donated to the Island Nature Trust here in PEI.....
I won't overload you with too many photos....we spent a great deal of time roaming around Kool Breeze...a greenhouse during the summer....but is currently a Christmas wonderland! It was overwhelming the amount of Christmas decor, trees, ribbons & just about every thing you could think of Christmas...I'll save those photos for another day.
We stopped off in Kensington on our way home & visited a little gift shop that was packed....and I mean packed to the roof with decor....we could hardly get around the shop! I did purchase this crock...it was too awesome not to. It's currently sitting on the top of my cabinet...
This shop is located in a small, previously used train station. Next door, still in the station...is Willow Bakery....where I picked up a half dozen cream cheese covered cinnamon buns!
My nephew & his wife are arriving tomorrow from Nova Scotia....we are so looking forward to a wonderful weekend with them!
Mr. Seventies birthday meal & celebration is happening tomorrow evening...we have grand daughter with us for the afternoon...her parents will be join in the celebration for dinner....and some amazing cupcakes are on order from Fat Cat Bakery.....(a local bake shop)....
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! It's a long weekend ....Monday is Remembrance Day. A day set aside to honour our veterans for their dedication & sacrifice.
Lest We Forget
