I enjoyed an afternoon of local shopping....nothing any better to lift one's spirits! It has rained here every day...since November 11th! The ground is soggy & drenched....high winds have been another issue. Poor Liesel has only been walked a couple of times since the "monsoon" began....she's getting a bit "shack happy"....
But it's not snow! So there is that...
I picked up a couple of things to wear during the holidays...I'm crushing on this awesome sweater....which is so soft & comfortable.....(these pieces are available at Maurices)......on their website or in store....
I fell hard for these...I use them as slippers...but they can be worn outside...if you prefer....they are so cozy & warm....
Since my previous leather jacket is much too big ...I ordered this one online. However, it runs very small & a size large was a bit snug. It likely would have stretched (as leather does)....but I decided to return it & order an XL...I love the cognac colour and that it is fitted. A great jacket for wearing in the car & running errands...
We recently spend an enjoyable evening with our sweet neighbours...the last time we attempted to enjoy time catching up....I suffered my heart attack. This evening ended much nicer & we had a wonderful time...enjoyed some delicious snacks & drinks....and exchanged gifts. Of course, they know anything doxie is a huge hit with me....how cute are these adorable pieces??
And an adorable ornament for our tree...the only decoration on it...(but I'm working on it)!!
I came across a wonderful idea for a heartfelt gift for Mr. Seventies! (this pic is from their website..). It will have our names on the tailgate....and the license plate # is our wedding date...month/day/year and with the caption as shown (which is a line from a song, btw).
I chose a 16'x32" framed canvas....cannot wait for it to arrive. If you want the website.....leave a comment & I will share....(shipping is free....however Canada Post is currently on strike....no mail is moving!!)...
Our electrician was here a few days ago & repaired the outside electrical outlet....a very quick fix! Mr. Seventies hopes to get outside (between rain showers) this week & put Christmas lights on our Yew tree...
Thanks so much for stopping by today...join me later today over at https://betweennapsontheporch.net/ for Metamorphis Monday!

Til next time...
Oh my goodness Charlotte - you have been busy! I'm so glad that your evening with the neighbors ended on a better note than last time! The doxie pieces are adorable and love the ornament on the tree. I'm so crushing on that beautiful leather jacket and what a gorgeous color! I haven't even begun decorating for Christmas much less done any shopping. We have had so much snow and cold here that I almost envy your rain there lol. The canvas for Mr. Seventies is perfect. Have a great week my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim!! I'm hoping the larger size in the jacket will fit better. Ugh - snow! My neighbour...is heading to your area this weekend for a few days....hope your weather improves! I admit I'd rather have rain than snow & cold tho. Did your gingerbread purse arrive? If so, I'm hoping you are luvin' it! Take care my friend!!
DeleteWe haven't had much rain (Oct, we had none), but our weather has been pleasant. I love what you have found for yourself and that jacket looks really cool! I am envious of people with snow and am hoping we get some this year (Georgia only gets some about every 7 years or so and we are there! We will put our tree up this coming Sunday. My boys are excited!

Hi Mireille! We get snow here....every winter. I prefer it not to come & stay in November - makes the winter months so long. We didn't get much or have too many snow storms last year....I hope this year is a repeat of that!! I bet your boys can't wait to put the tree up!! I don't need snow to enjoy Christmas...we have more chance of having a white Easter than snow at Christmas!
DeleteYou found some great buys! I love the adorable gifts from your friends too. I bet Mr. Seventies will love his print.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne! Thanks so much....I think Mr. Seventies will love the canvas too!!
