It certainly doesn't feel like May weather last evening & overnight we had a mix of snow & rain....with winds blowing 50-60 mph! Poor Clancy.....not being a fan of either.....was happy to snuggle in a warm bed after her bedtime potty outing! There are vehicle restrictions currently in place for crossing the Confederation bridge.....(meaning no high sided vehicles can cross until the winds decrease).....and a few communities are without power.....
Things will improve tomorrow & the next day with sun and seasonal temps of 70 degrees or so. Bring on the sun & warmth!
I popped into Michaels a few days ago.....they are gearing up for Canada Day (July1).....adding a few red & white items....this wreath is gorgeous....red & white....the colour of our Canadian flag...
I'm crushing on this sign....and those candles....I may have picked up a couple....we likely will be hosting a family barbecue in celebration of Canada Day....
How adorable are these candles? I often wonder what they would look like actually lit.....after a while I suspect they would be a pile of melted wax....
They don't appear to be heavily scented....but look so amazing...(and delicious).....there are artisans on Etsy that make these types of candles....I have ordered in the past....and they are wonderfully scented....
I stopped into a local discount store.....and came across these spook-tacular Hallowe'en tarts.....I sure hope they have them in the fall! I didn't purchase any....as fall is a few months away & not sure how scented they would be by then.....hoping they get in a fresh supply....

I finally gave in & ordered a pair of Ugg clogs....in the colour Dark Chestnut. I have a few pair of Ugg boots & slippers....being a teenager in the 70's clogs were the go to footwear then & I have loved their comfort & style ever since!
These are leather & so well made....I know I'll be very happy with them....great spring & fall footwear.....
I dropped into Old Navy while out & about....and was able to find a couple of pairs of the barrel leg denim ankle jeans.....in my opinion....they look a bit hideous on websites & in photos....but I actually love them!
So much so, I purchased two pair.....different styles! Size 12 fit me so good....and since they were on sale...I decided to get a couple of pairs.... photos from Old Navy's site....remember they look much better on...
This first pair is my favourite .... just so comfortable.....
The photo of these crinkle pants does not do them justice either....but they are super cute on...and with drawstring waist....just as comfortable. I chose this colour....
Along with this tumeric coloured open knit top....with a cami underneath.....it looks great with the crinkle pants.....
We had a double birthday celebration over the weekend....daughter & her hubby's birthdays are only a few days apart....a home made pizza was requested for a celebratory meal....and this ice cream cake from a local ice cream shop & dairy bar.....was delicious.....
Daughter requested an electric heated throw (she was very happy to receive the pad to place under her Kitchen Aid as well.....makes sliding it a breeze). & son-in-law was wanting a leaf blower....each were very happy with their gifts....
Grand daughter was on hand as well.....to sing Happy Birthday to her Mom & Dad....and show off her three loose teeth!
Next weekend is Mother's Day....we're having a ham dinner with all the fixings.....since we missed out on it at Easter....daughter & I are so looking forward to it....and of course being treated royally by the "men folk"....
