Giddy Goose Makes A Comeback!

You know that saying, "what's old is new again"?   The latest craze here....at least for customers of Inspired Living.....is Giddy Goose.... who is so popular she is on back order!   I've been around long enough to remember Giddy (not sure if the name was around back then).....the goose who has a whole wardrobe available....for the various seasons & holidays!

To refresh your memory.....or introduce you to....the porch goose Giddy!  (I ordered from Wayfair...to avoid the waiting list).  Giddy, stands about 23" tall.....

Anyone else remember when porch geese were a thing?  Giddy has an extensive wardrobe....some pieces available on Amazon......like this one I ordered....has a summer feel to it.....nothing like a frock bearing strawberries ....

Giddy will look awesome in the fall in one of these outfits....(sitting on the front step).....

There are various outfits available...there is a raincoat & umbrella set on my list to get for Giddy.....

I perused one of the thrift stores briefly.....a few pieces caught my eye.....I hesitated to buy this piece for my cabinet....I suspected it wouldn't fit it in....but it was tempting....

This Corning casserole dish was huge & quite heavy.....I thought a great find for anyone needing one for large meals....

This piece had me intrigued....it was extremely dirty & dusty..... I suspect the produce of someone's ceramic class.  While it could have been washed....I left it for someone else to enjoy....would you have taken him?

I remember my Mom painting this holly dish in ceramic class...I wish ceramic classes would make a comeback here!  I loved painting pieces & attended class faithfully one evening each week!

I remember back in the 70's thinking ceramics was for "old ladies" to enjoy doing.....but my friend & I were hooked after the first class....some much fun to sit, paint....& gossip about the goings on in my home town back then....I once painted a complete set of snowman dinnerware....free hand.  I passed them on to my daughter in Nova Scotia many years ago.....

These cute little bowls caught my eye.....great for desserts....or perfect  snack size bowls ......

A small pottery bowl....great for storing pot scrubbers.....I keep mine in a pottery bowl under the kitchen sink....it's big enough to house a small scrub brush as well....

Clancy continues to thrive.....we can see how much she has grown since arriving almost three weeks ago.  She is still the talk of the neighbourhood....the best socialization class for her....is meeting so many people & children who stop to pet her, take her photo....and everyone comments on how adorable she is!

We have two more puppy socialization classes to attend.....and potty training is going very well....and getting through the difficult puppy teething/mouthing stage!  I've needed to order a few additional chew toys to keep her mouth busy on things besides our hands & fingers....

She also enjoys chewing on roasted marrow bones....great for those puppy teeth....and great stress reliever for her!  We go through, what has been called.."the witching hour" most evenings....when she gets a bit rambunctious....doing zoomies.....and acting silly...like puppies do!

Daughter & family were on hand to celebrate Mother's Day....we had a lovely afternoon & a delicious ham dinner followed up with carrot cake & cream cheese cupcakes .   I received Amazon gift cards, lovely scented bath bombs & body spray.....

I came across these adorable bow sandals.....available in a variety of colours....these are the ones I ordered....in black.....I hope they are as comfortable as they look....

Mr. Seventies has a follow up appointment with his surgeon today.... he is hoping for the "all clear" to start doing a bit more.....he's anxious to get outside & do yard work.  Thankfully, the weather has been wet & rainy...... that has slowed him down....I do not want him overdoing it!

Be sure and join me later today over at https://betweennapsontheporch.net/ for Metamorphosis Monday and again tomorrow at https://www.myslicesoflife.com/ for Talking About It Tuesday.....

Many thanks for being here today....so appreciate you sharing your time with me.....

Til next time.....
