Mr. Seventies Birthday Weekend!!

 

We're celebrating Mr. Seventies birthday this weekend in Nova Scotia with extended family!!    Weather is going to be wet...but that won't dampen our spirits!  We are so looking forward to meeting the newest member of our family....our nephew & wife have a brand new baby girl & we can't wait to meet her!

Clancy Mae will be staying with daughter & family....our first time away from her!  She will be very well taken care of....there is no one I would want her to be with than family she loves & is familiar with.  And we can enjoy our weekend knowing she is safe, loved....and getting spoiled...

We have a couple of stops to make on the way....this adorable diamond art kit is sold at Michaels....however none available in our location.  We'll stop in Truro....and check out their location...I need to pick up three kits....for myself, daughter & Kim, fellow dachshund Mom....

I'm hoping I have the patience to complete mine.....a while back my nephew's wife gifted me this adorable dachshund...and .she made it from a diamond kit.  Daughter loved it so much, she purchased & finished one as well....

Our second stop enroute is a quick visit to our other nephew & his wife....and Mr. Seventies has bags of holly for her....she spends about four days putting up their Christmas decorations....and uses a load of holly inside and out....

It will give us a chance to see them....I'm hoping they can squeeze in a visit with us this month or next...

Anyone having fun playing around with Chatgpt?  Daughter plans to have a propane fireplace installed...and used Chatgpt to get inspiration & ideas.....and wow....the mock ups are gorgeous!

I decided to put in a couple of photos of our bedroom....leaving the bedding & furniture as is...and here are a couple of inspiration photos it came up with...mainly easy decor pieces to switch out.  While the top of the dresser is different....it gives great ideas for decor pieces....this one is my favourite...

Of course the cow framed canvas is a win for me....I came across this one & I'm obsessed with the colours...I wish there were frame colour choices...but black is all that is available...and rather than the scrolly things....I'd use sconces....

The second choice is lovely as well.....just not as soft & romantic as the first choice.....I do love the Always Kiss Me Goodnight over the bed.....

So, what do you think?  Do you prefer one look over the other?  These are small changes that will be easy to do...stay tuned....

Today is the first day of Inspired Living's Christmas Open House....I plan to visit there...and shop in Halifax on Saturday as well....they have a lovely Wheaton's location ....

We hoping to do a "mini" birthday celebration with family here this evening...nothing major....pizza,  cupcakes & prezzies.....
