Not only did we end up needing a new refrigerator....I forgot to update on the status of our washing machine! Last I posted about it...we were having a repairman come take a look at it.
He quickly advised the washer (at 12 years old) was not worth repairing....only to have it break down again in a few short months. I was a bit heart broken....as I loved that set! But sometimes it's time to let go.
Our daughter had purchased a new washer & dryer set a few months ago...and has been very happy with its performance. Mr. Seventies & I headed to a local furniture/appliance store....and picked out a matching front loading LG set. They were in stock....so no ordering or long wait required...and delivered & set up that very day. And our old set was taken away....free of charge!
You will notice..they are not sitting on matching bases. But those have been ordered...and will arrive in March. At which time they will be delivered and set underneath each appliance!
We are very happy with their performance...and I'm thinking it's time to paint and refresh the laundry room! It's been 12 years after all!
We've had a few days of freezing rain, ice pellets and rain! And more in the forecast tomorrow! It's hard to believe we are in the middle of January already...and we have very little to no snow on the ground!
I'm late to the party but plan to hang out over at at Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphosis Monday

Charlotte, your new washer and dryer look spectacular! Isn't it funny when appliances go on the fritz how much we come to love new ones? Enjoy them and hoping you have a lovely week! P.S. we have had a very mild January here too and I'm definitely not complaining!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim!!! So good to hear from you...and happy to hear you are having a mild January as well! Winters can be so long...so it's wonderful when we're not having a snow every other day!! Have an awesome week my friend!!
