Puppy Update!!!!

Let's just take a minute & awe at the absolute adorable-ness of Miss Clancy Mae!  Look at those precious little paws!  *swoon*

Cannot wait to get my paws on her!  I spent most of one evening....texting...calling airlines....arranging her passage from Ontario to Charlottetown!   Our breeder's neighbour will be taking Clancy to the airport in Toronto....(about a two hour drive for her).....she is also a breeder of Wasties.  She has a new crate (with water bowl) that didn't arrive in time for her to use to ship one of her pups...it's brand new - I've purchased it & the bowl to fly Clancy.  (common practice - the buyer pays for the crate - as we did for Liesel).

To fly Air Canada - all pups must be 10 weeks of age - we settled on a date of April 14, 2026 to have her flown in.  She & her brother are leaving the breeder on the same day!  So many changes ahead for them as they embark on their new lives!!

West Jet has an 8 weeks of age policy - but they do not fly cargo planes into our airport.  They do to Halifax....which would have been fine - except her arrival time was 1:41 A.M. (then a three hour drive back home).  That was not going to happen....so she needed to fly directly here.  Her flight is direct - two hours.  Anytime after April 6, 2026 I can book her flight.  The representative I spoke with from Air Canada was amazing....

I remember when flying Liesel here - one airline had a "possible" - could be longer stop over in Montreal of three hours policy.   I've heard horror stories of pets being left unattended for hours - that wasn't going to happen!  That was not do-able - so we chose a direct flight to Halifax for her.  I'm guessing flight times and availability have changed since then....

As it is....I will be a nervous wreck until she is here...safe & sound!!

  1. Clancy Mae is absolutely adorable! You must be so excited for her arrival. A lot of mental gymnastics for you to arrange her flight from Toronto to P.E.I. Such a wee thing to be flying solo. You’ll want her home and safe in your arms. Hugs, Elaine

  2. Thank you, Elaine! We are pretty smitten with her! I'm happy her flight is only two hours....I wouldn't fly her any further! I cannot wait to have her home! Will be on pins & needles til she arrives!! ((hugs))
