It had stopped raining for a day or so...we thought it was time to visit a local greenhouse & country market....and Clancy Mae made the trek with us.....she enjoys going in the SUV.....
I had sent updated photos to her breeder.....who is thrilled Clancy is looking & doing so great...and growing! She claimed she was a "Princess" while still with her & I can so see that!! She is a bit of a Diva....and very strong willed...(aka stubborn)......
Today is the anniversary of Liesel's passing, one year ago. Her loss still has its impact on us. We are blessed to have Clancy...and as much work as a puppy is....she is so worth it! Mr. Seventies cals her my "velcro dog".....
Rest in peace our precious girl....you are loved & missed beyond words....
While the weather has been wet & windy for the past few weeks....the greenhouses are getting fully stocked & ready....the fish have not been added to the pond yet....I suspect it has to warm up a bit yet...
While Mr. Seventies & Clancy checked out the flowers and shrubs....I browsed the market....and crushing on these hand made bird houses.....the one on the front far right is my favourite...the roof is awesome....
These hooked rugs are gorgeous....I'd love to have one for in front of my sink...but suspect a puppy might fall in love with it .... a bit too much....this rooster one tho....
My second favourite rug....they had a great selection of mats this year....how's this for some pretty spring time lovelies.....
I purchased the rug in our front entry from the Market a couple of years ago....and am still loving it.....they didn't have any this size this year tho....
And these hooked cushions.....gorgeous....the little bee one is my favourite.....
Some pretty mugs.....the maple leaf ones are just in time for Canada Day on July 1st....
I love the pattern on these pieces....Inspired Living carries these as well...... for about the same prices...I can't decide if the flowers are lupins or lavender....
How awesome is this stove .....they were in the process of getting it set up & decorated for the summer...
This adorable canvas is not for sale....but I'm obsessed with it....such a fun piece ........nothing better than kids, ice cream and dogs!!
The ladies at the market were obsessed with Clancy....she certainly is a star!! They had no problem with her being in the shop....and she enjoyed her outing!
Mr. Seventies had a load of compost delivered for the gardens....she was such a huge help....thoroughly enjoyed rides in the wheelbarrow!
I've mentioned on here my love of fall.....Hallowe'en in particular....likely too many times! I was scrolling around Etsy.....when I came across this amazing wreath! I could not resist....and is 22" large size sealed the deal....I ordered it! The crafter/seller is located in Canada & offered free shipping....win-win!
I have one gorgeous Hallowe'en wreath currently......although due to our fall weather & winds could never hang one on the front door! But I can find homes for them inside...... no problem. How adorable is this guy!! I will share photos when he arrives.....
UGH!!! Update* - So the seller on Etsy cancelled the order!! Not sure why sellers do this!! So annoying! If they no longer have an item available - take down the listing!!
Disappointing for certain....but there are many other sellers on Etsy!!
I also chose this PB dupe on Amazon for the main bedroom (I was able to use my gift cards).....rather than the one I shared previously....I'm hoping this colour will work! I do plan to fold my PB quilt at the bottom of the bed though.....so fingers crossed everything will look summery....(I'm convinced we will get summer)....what are your thoughts on this quilt set? It really does give off PB vibes....for a fraction of the price....
Today, the weather looks promising....our little grand daughter (complete with garden gloves) will be on hand to assist her Grampie with yard work! We can't seem to get out of this rain/shower pattern we are in....with very cool weather. When we do get a sunny day......with temperatures warm enough to work in.....we take full advantage of it!
There is no rush to open the pool & get it up and running....we know a couple of neighbours who have theirs opened.....but why run it if you can't enjoy it? Our water is still clear....so until the temperatures warm up....we're holding off. I may decide to put a few pots with flowers on the small deck...but am in no rush to babysit them everyday....with risk of frost still a problem....and rain...I've got lots of time.
The guy who delivered the compost said he has many orders....but it has been too wet to deliver wet soils or compost....the landscaping companies are having the same issue this year....
That is about all the news from here....hopeful you have great weather where you are. And if so....can you send some our way?
Much appreciated.
Til next time.....
I think Liesel sent you Clancy to love. She is just so cute and quite the social little butterfly. Loved those hooked rugs and pillows. You always find the nicest things. I think those flowers are lavender. Hugs, Elaine
ReplyDeleteI have think you are right, Elaine! And I think the flowers are lavender too! (((Hugs)))
