A Fresh Batch of Cookies!

You read that right!  This is a first on my blog.....I baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies  (Mr. Seventies favourite).  I don't bake much....not because I dislike it.....the issue is... I eat it!  The recipe is one my son-in-law shared.....and it makes delicious cookies!

My Kitchen Aid makes light work of the process.....the recipe instructed to roll the dough into ping pong size balls....sounded easy enough....

In the oven.....set at 350 for ten to twelve minutes....

And voila....freshly bakes chocolate chip cookies!!   Mr. Seventies could hardly wait for them to cool...

Clean up included coating my walnut Kitchen Aid bowl with oil....I use whatever cooking oil I have on hand....add a few drops on a paper towel & wipe it around the inside....

The weather has been beautiful when we're not getting the odd snow showers....Mr. Seventies got busy one afternoon.....and took down the Yew tree at the front of the house!  Normally, we would never remove a tree....but this one..planted long before we lived here....was planted too close to the house.  People don't realize....things will get bigger!!

Mr. Seventies has trimmed it for years....but it had expanded covering the windows...and while trimming the height was simple enough....there was no way to sheer it skinny & have it look okay.

It actually just about covered two windows.....so, I asked it be taken down.  The light blocked from the family room was incredible.....it was a good decision to remove it....

I decided to order the Jasper Chukka footwear....the midsoles are made using recycled cork!   I chose the them in black....I also have two sets of insoles.  I find them every bit as comfortable as the very expensive insoles purchased through a podiatrist.....and for a fraction of the cost.  I'm excited to have these to keep my feet warm & comfortable for walking....

March is slipping away....we have tulips & crocus blooming everywhere!  It's wonderful to see colour....everything always looks so blah this time of year!  But April showers will bring May flowers, right?
