I don't have a puppy update.....we are waiting patiently! As a reminder...when they were newborns....a piebald boy....and a red boy & red girl..... (heart be still). I just want to smooch their little faces!!
We've struggled to settle on a boy's name...since we don't know which pup will be ours. Our first choice is the piebald boy.....he will be assessed at eight weeks to determine if he is "show" quality ....... in which case he will be sold or kept as a show dog & not available as a companion dog. Our second choice would be a red girl....but truthfully girl or boy is fine with us. We've been blessed with three girls and one boy in the past....
Drumroll ..... if we are receive a girl....her name will be "Clementine" and "Yancey" if we are blessed with a boy!! What does everyone think?
I came across the name Yancey ..... (I'd never heard of it but fell in love with it immediately.) When I brought it up with Mr. Seventies, he actually exclaimed.... "I love the name Yancey!" Oh, I was so happy! True story..... he grew up with a boy named Yancey!! Go figure!!
So now we continue to wait ..... the breeder(s) keep their pups until they are 9-10 weeks of age.
In other news.... we didn't receive much snow from this latest Alberta Clipper. In some areas of the Island, schools were closed. In other areas....they received no snow & school was open. We are keeping our grand daughter late this afternoon into the evening & plan to take her out for supper.....luv that little nugget!!
Wishing everyone a great weekend! I hope to visit Inspire Living....they have brought in some very beautiful decor & I'm looking forward to taking it in! My order from Old Navy arrived.....the green shorts & sweatshirt are awesome & fit beautifully! The crop denim capris however....are too small. I'll return them today.....I'm not a fan of the still denim so will continue my search.
Til next time......
Cute names you’ve chosen for your new pup. Clementine is so sweet and can be shortened to Clemmie which is also sweet. I bet you can’t wait to welcome him/her. Enjoy your dinner with your granddaughter. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Elaine
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elaine! I love Clementine shortened to Clem as well! And Yancey - shortened to Yance! Looking forward to spending time with our little this evening! Have an awesome weekend!
