Yesterday we had a reprieve from the hot weather....it was cool & windy....but refreshing...today and most of the week is promising hot temperatures again! It's currently a balmy 9 C (48 F).....a chilly morning for sure!
I was running errands a few days ago & popped into the thrift store....it was not crazy busy....which was awesome....I didn't see much though that caught my eye....saw this pretty vase, but it had no price tag....
This might have been someone's woodworking project? Maybe??
The had a vast number of coffee mugs.....something I don't need more of....but fun to check out....this one was sold at Indigo originally.....
This adorable one was painted in someone's ceramic class....I love me a gnome....
Tim Horten's collectable mugs usually sell quickly....this is one that came out at Christmas time....
Another couple of mugs from Indigo.....I suspect from a fall or Christmas collection of mugs...
That is an adorable wiener dog on this one....I left it for someone else to enjoy.....
I considered getting this star....possibly to hang on Mr. Seventies storage barn....maybe next time if it's still there when I drop in....
I came across this adorable little blanket....would have been cute for Clancy Mae....but we have a variety of blankets so far....
That was the only thrift shop I had time to check out....next time I'll visit another one....
Our Red Prince Weigela is in full bloom....it is gorgeous....and so pretty....
Mr. Seventies has spread eight yards of black mulch in the flower gardens....he's thinking he wants to top off the side lawn garden...I suggested he waits til we get cooler weather.....before he has a few more yards delivered. Our neighbour commented that the gardens are Mr. Seventies "cathedral"......he's not wrong....
The temperatures are forecast to be warm again this week....we've been enjoying the pool....even Clancy Mae is getting in on the action....and an abundance of pool floats....like Flingo the Flamingo and Doug the dinosaur....Sneaky Snake....along with Allie the Alligator.....to name a few....
We've been enjoying walking on the trails....in the mornings & evenings....there is one trail that is our favourite...we call it the "Bunny Trail".....as we've seen as many as five bunnies at one time....the trail is sheltered with trees....so refreshing after hot days....and Clancy Mae needs exercise.....as do we....
She is watching them intently here.....the minute we get within fifteen feet of them.....they hop off into the woods....
She is growing & lost her first baby tooth....grand daughter inquired if the tooth fairy came! She did...and left Clancy Mae a new chew toy! At weigh in last week....she tipped the scales at 7.4 pounds! She weighed 3.5 pounds when she arrived in April....wonderful to see her filling out!
Thanks so much for spending a bit of your time with me today! Join me later over at https://betweennapsontheporch.net/ for Metamorphosis Monday and again tomorrow at https://www.myslicesoflife.com/ for Talking About It Tuesdays!
Til next time.....

I admire your will power not to buy anything from the thrift store. Always fun to look, though. You two look cute in the pool. Hugs, Elaine
ReplyDeleteSometimes I leave my will power at home....& some times It's just too hard to leave something behind, lol! Thank you...Clancy Mae had a couple of dips in the pool to cool off-she has the doggie paddle down perfectly!! ((hugs)))
DeleteCharlotte, good of you to resist all the goodies at the thrift store - I tend to stay away from them for that very reason lol. The Weigela is so pretty and Clancy Mae looks adorable in the poor with all her floaty friends. I'm so glad your weather is warming up again - this morning we were 7 degrees but hot for the rest of the week. Have a wonderful week my friend and enjoy the pool!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, great to hear from you! We're in for a hot few days again - I luv it! Wishing you a wonderful week as well my friend...and stay cool out there!!

DeleteLooks like your thrift store has some good things! I love that Weigala tree/shrub. Have not seen those before - very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina!! The Weigela shrubs are common here....we have two-the Red Prince and a Variegated Pink one. The are so pretty!!
DeleteYay for finally getting some pool time in, Those are some really cute mugs you found at the thrift store.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne - we've been getting some great pool time in...along with hot days....finally!
DeleteWe haven't gone to the pool much this year... what a fun lot of mugs you came across at the thrift store. Every so often I feel like someone donated all of theirs because there will be some really cool ones. I never buy any because I have enough of my own, lol!
