Summer Finally Arrived!!

Everyone is likely tired of me grumbling about our weather.....yesterday I think was the turning point!  It was hot, sunny with an awesome breeze - we spent the day & evening hanging out on the decks. swimming in the pool & enjoyed our traditional Canada Day barbecue with daughter & family!

It was a wonderful Canada Day....and....today we have a "heat" warning in place!  I luv it!!  It can't be too hot for me....we plan to walk Clancy Mae early while it's still cool....and enjoy the amazing weather & dips in the pool!  We have to pop into our veterinary clinic on our way home....to have her weighed & purchase her flea, worm & tick medication....

Six years ago today....at twelve weeks of age....our precious granddaughter was operated on to close the very large hole in her little heart!!  2020 was a rough year.....for her parents....and grandparents!  She made a full recovery & is living her best life.....and couldn't be more loved!

I was at Global Pet Foods the other day, picking up kibble, bones & snacks for Clancy Mae ....it just so happens to be a few doors down from Home Sense....and since I was that close....I took a quick browse around....

Yup...a bit of Hallowe'en is going on there too....

These are kind of cool....they would look awesome hanging on a tree limb in the front yard....these are from Martha Stewart.....she can do no wrong...

This pretty wooden bowl is a candle.....I'd buy it as a decorative piece rather than a candle....

This small lamp is lovely....from the base to the shade....so feminine & pretty....

This cute basket base covered in strawberries would be awesome on the kitchen counter....

I considered buying a floor fan....to use in the master bedroom.  Not so much for cooling...but air circulations during the night, we currently have a fan sitting on our dresser....but I'm a bit obsessed with these floor ones!   My only hesitation is the size of the fan blades....not certain how much air they would actually circulate...they are a bit on the small side....

This ruffled throw is gorgeous & so soft....but sadly it has a number of pulls (you can see them in the photo)....even if the price was marked down....it wouldn't be my choice.....

Has anyone ordered eyewear online?  I ordered two pair of progressive lenses and frames....cannot wait for them to arrive...these look like so much fun....I'm a huge fan of "different" eyewear....I'm obsessed with these pretty floral blue frames....

And the shape of these ones....with the sparkly detailing.....so pretty!!

I have a few different pair of eyeglasses....I feel if you have to wear them.....they oughta be awesome!

Mr. Seventies has the solar blanket installed on the roller & now can cover the pool overnight to keep the water temperature up.....today promises to be another pool day!!
