Welcome to April!!

Touches of spring....our pretty little crocuses are blooming.... close to the side of the house...

A small cluster of daffodils are just starting to poke through....spring has officially began! While the winds are still cool (we are surrounded by water after all)....the sun has been out and the ditches are full of water with snow melting....

Precious grand baby enjoyed her birthday celebration.....her cake was a huge hit.....and delicious!

She is loving her Play Doh Ice Cream Cart.....and was a big help to Grampy assembling it...

I think this part goes here Grampy!!

First soft serve cone coming right up!!!  Two things she loves.....Play Doh and ice cream!!

We cannot believe what a little miracle she is.  Undergoing open heart surgery at the tender age of twelve weeks....to a thriving, happy, healthy little one.  We are truly blessed!!

And look who arrived....Mr. Seventies and I say we've had a canvas done to commemorate an upcoming anniversary!  I'm the pretty one on the right.....just sayin'

And the large ceramic pitcher came home with us as well!  The flowers were BOGO from Michael's....and I had a Christmas gift card to use!!   They used pink ones in the store....but I chose pretty yellow ones...in recognition of spring....

More sun in the forecast today!!  I have a final (hopefully) iron infusion later in the week...and the new wall oven hopefully arrives tomorrow!!

Thank you for spending time with me and pop over later to Between Naps in the Porch for  Metamorphosis Monday and check out all the amazing bloggers sharing some great stuff!!  I'll be there!!

  1. Charlotte, what I wouldn't give to see crocuses and daffodils budding - how lovely for you! We still have so much snow here although it is beginning to melt. Happy birthday to your sweet grandbaby - she does indeed seem a miracle! Love your anniversary picture - she's a beauty on the right! Good luck with your (hopefully) final infusion and happy spring!

  2. I hear you Kim....we still have snow cover here....these particular crocus and daffodils are up close to the house....where some of the snow has melted. We will be a long time yet before the bulk of the snow melts!! Thanks on the anniversary pic! We chuckle when we look at it. And thank you for the good wishes, on what will be a final infusion. Fingers crossed. Have an awesome week...my friend.
