Happy Thanksgiving!!!

 

Wishing everyone a blessed and safe Thanksgiving!  We shared  turkey & all the fixings at our daughter's in laws!  Talk about a buffet of food...complete with gravy, dressing, numerous vegetables...and three different desserts!  Son-in-law brought his family favourite.... home made pumpkin cheesecake!!

Today, we plan to have our own turkey dinner...everything is prepared... and nothing smells so good as a turkey in the oven!!

We finally had a chance to enjoy the walking trails....the leaves are just beginning to turn colour.  Liesel enjoyed investigating a different walking spot...with new smells and sounds....

Walked passed this large hornet's nest...along the walking trail.  I zoomed in so as not to disturb any that may have been  in there...

Mr. Seventies presented me with a beautiful bouquet of roses...."just because"!  Are they not gorgeous?  He's a keeper I tell ya....

We spent the better part of an afternoon with grand baby....and ventured to the apple orchard for some serious apple picking!  She enjoyed a freshly picked apple and happily munched away as she "helped" fill the basket!

There were rows and rows of apple trees....and families out enjoying the gorgeous weather...

Once our basket was full...we headed to a local park where grand baby played on slides, swings, teeter totter...and a host of other fun things to climb on!

After all that work....an ice cream was a well deserved treat!  It was a warm, sunny day....the ice cream shop was buzzing with people....still a number of tourists about.  I noticed one license plate from Utah!

Since the weather promises to be perfect today....Mr. Seventies plans to clean out the vegetable garden and mow the lawns...maybe for the final time this year?  

Temperatures are going to plummet next week....much more "fall like"....with overnight temps dipping down to single digits.
