Happy Monday! We are still in the throes of winter....a messy Nor-easter is heading our way later today/early this evening & into tomorrow. High winds....mixed with snow equals lots of snow & low visibility!
We're heading into the last week of February! Spring....is just a day on the calendar here! Mr. Seventies has the seed catalogues out....so that is hopeful! An order of blue sunflower (yes blue) arrived....he & grand daughter will start those in small pots in May....then move them into the ground once germinated ....they require at least six hours of sunlight daily....
Remember the "barrel" jeans I ordered? They did not live up to their hype - while they fit just fine...not my style. I sent them back. Plus I purchased two pair of denim capris while on the mainland last week.....and an additional pair at Maurices on Saturday.
I dropped into Inspired Living a few days ago....while I do love their decor....I'm finding items are over-priced! It could be just me....this wreath for example....$89.99 and it feels like plastic! And a bit on the fugly side......
I was interested in this beautiful pitcher....but not for $79.99! For a pitcher!! While lovely....I'll stick with getting mine from the thrift store....
Crushing on the violet hydrangea.....however they are not "real touch"..... they feel like paper!
These vases are so pretty....I really don't have any "blue" in my home....but I love seeing blue & white in other homes....
This owl is adorable....and available in a variety of sizes. It is not made to endure the outside....unless protected from the elements.....but super cute all the same.... and those glasses tho....
I did come across this adorable bone squeaky...... I didn't buy it as I'm not a fan of anything with a squeaker inside.....too many pups have swallowed those things....
I'm not sure who needs bananas on a lamp.... but I'm certain someone will fall in love with it....
And lastly ....... who doesn't love a bunny cushion? Adorable.....

At Home Sense, on the mainland last week..... I found this pretty cushion. It screams "dog bed" to me ..... I love using cute items rather than your typical items. I'll wait til our pup is out of the chewing stages before I invest in a bed. Liesel would have rather humped her bed.....as opposed to actually sleeping in it!! A soft blanket in front of the fire worked just fine....
And this one is pink..... and since we are uncertain if we will have a girl pup or boy pup.....I'll make the call down the road if a dog bed is needed... it will need to be washable for certain!
This little hoodie was hard to resist.... but I did resist. We have a couple of hoodies purchased to use in the meantime.....have no idea how big or little our dog will be when fully grown.... but this was definately an awwww moment!!
Speaking of the pup .... he/she is seven weeks old today!! Cannot wait to finally hear which pup will be available to us! I'll share as soon as I know!
American Eagle is continuing their sale....I ordered a couple of sweatshirts ..... this first one is for me (although I'm not a huge fan of "hoodies"... but the price was too good to pass up........ and the blue one for Mr. Seventies....although either will fit us both.....
Lastly, Mr. Seventies hung my Welcome sign I purchased from the thrift store! While it looks great....he didn't attach it with a long screw directly through the sign and into the deck wall! (as I requested....just say'in). First good gust of wind....it blew it on the ground. Enuf said.
He will attach it "properly" after this latest storm passes....
Stay tuned....probably be some "storm" photos mid week ..... in case anyone is feeling left out & missing snow!
Til next time.....
Not missing snow, but would love to see pictures of yours! Praying you are spared any damage from high winds. RHill, TX
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to get pictures! I just hope we don't lose power!! Fingers crossed!!
DeleteFun to go shopping with you. That $90 wreath looks like it could harbour small animals, lol. The banana lamp would cute in a white and yellow kitchen. I’ve never heard of blue sunflowers. Pretty. Stay warm and cozy in the storm. Oh, spring, where art thou? Hugs, Elaine
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be fun to shop together, Elaine? Can't wait to grow blue sunflowers! And....if you find spring....pls. send it out way!! Have an awesome day, my friend!!
