What A Croc(s)!!

Croc shoes that is!!  You either love them or hate them.....one thing I've noticed is how much they have expanded on the current styles of them.....

I'm normally not a fan of them.....until I came across this adorable style on Crocs Canada (not a sponsored post).....I'm thinking they will be perfect for taking our pup outside when the grass is dew covered....as opposed to hauling on rain boots....

I actually prefer the strap pulled forward....leaving the heel open....and the colour is called Flame.......

They also have available.....Jibbitz charms.....oh the possibilities are endless for those.....I decided on this adorable pearl bow to dress them up a bit....there are so many to choose from...

The charms attach through the holes on the front end of the Crocs.....I'll share a photo of them when they arrive....

One thing I've noticed lately.....is how tightly and difficult covers of bottles are to remove.....most times I require Mr. Seventies assistance!  A number of years ago....I had a rubber circular pad that was very helpful.....but over the years....it has since disappeared!

I went searching on Amazon & found these rubber discs...and quickly ordered a set of three.    They arrived & I'm happy to report they work so well.....I can easily get the tops off bottles now....

My Oral B flosser died a few days ago....which presented the opportunity to use my Amazon gift cards....this one is not a brand name....but it works just as well & has all the attachments I use....and it's rechargeable.  If you're looking for a reasonably priced flosser....I highly recommend this one.....

I also use a rechargeable tooth brush.....(I have regular brushes as well)....Ive been using this particular one over the years....replacing the heads every couple of months....I chose to replace my current brush with this updated version....it sits on a charger....

Does anyone else suffer with dry eye?  I thought "dry eye" would mean your eyes would feel dry & scratchy....but that is not the case.  When I had my eye exam last fall, the optometrist sent me for an eye scan as I had quite a bit of "water" behind my pupils.....which causes my eyes to water terrible....especially during the winter months....

He also gave me a bottle of eye drops....which were hateful to actually use....so I ditched them & purchased this brand....I've been using it for a couple of weeks now....either the drops are working or it's because our temperatures outside for walking are milder.....my eyes don't seem to water as much....

I also read taking Vitamin A can help with dry eye....I've been taking it for a couple of months now.  I can't say if it's working ....as our weather is warming up outside....but it certainly can't hurt.  Being outside in the cold caused my eyes to water so much.....so annoying....

We had a quiet Easter....daughter & family brought turkey dinners for us to heat up (disclaimer - turkey in my opinion.....is not an Easter meal....much prefer ham).....but if someone is wonderful enough to bring us delicious meals.....who are we to complain?   And.....I purchased a huge ham for Mother's Day meal...it's in the freezer til then....

Mr. Seventies continues to heal....getting bored....today he wants to get out for a short walk....the weather this week looks like spring just might finally show up!  We've had a combination of snow, ice pellets and rain for a few days now...... I'm to make a follow up appointment this week with his surgeon for Mr. Seventies to see him in a few weeks.....as well as book Clancy Mae's transport flight to Charlottetown.

I've contacted Spot on Dogs.....for puppy socialization & obedience classes.....once I confirm she is fully vaccinated....we will sign up.  Puppy socialization classes are for pups under the age of 20 weeks.....so perfect for us.

I also need to drop into the vet clinic close to our house....to inquire what is required regarding immunizations, worming, real & tick medication and whatever else Clancy will require. We've not had a puppy this young, so we are in new territory..  We are purchasing her with a spay/neuter contract....her spay will take place in August or thereabouts....once she has reached six months of age....

That is about all what is happening here.....now that Mr. Seventies is on the mend....the task of keeping him relatively quiet is at hand.....

Please join me later today over at https://betweennapsontheporch.net/ for Metamorphosis Monday & tomorrow over at https://www.myslicesoflife.com/ for Talking About It Tuesday....

Thanks so much for visiting with me today.....so greatly appreciate it!

Til next time.....

  1. Glad your hubby is on the mend. Does he enjoy reading? He’s usually so active it must be difficult for him to slow down. Wow, those crocs are cute! My doctor recommended the Systane eye drops. Perfect (if I remember to use them). You must be so excited for Clancy Mae’s arrival. She’ll surely keep you busy s she settles into her forever home. Enjoy your week. Hugs, Elaine

    1. I agree Kim, for crocs they are really cute! We had miserable Easter weather....snow, ice pellets & freezing rain....then rain. Snow is mostly gone (thankfully)....today was sun & cloud - but about 10 degrees. I hopeful this is the week our weather (and yours) turns around! You have an awesome week too, my friend!

  3. I'm not normally a fan of crocs either but those are cute. I too have been on the search for some jar openers like that; I used to have one that worked so well and it just went missing.
