Getting Into Winter Now

Here we are almost to the middle of January....now we'll start getting into hard core winter weather.  We had a wind/snow/rain mess move through mid week....and another in the forecast for tomorrow.  Power outages reported here & there....ours flickered but stayed on.  The bridge to the mainland was closed to all traffic for a few hours as winds were recorded 125 km/hr.

Looks like we will have a do-over tomorrow.  We haven't been hit with a significant amount of snowfall...yet.

Mr. Seventies is enjoying his new recliner....and required lighting for reading.  Rather than a table lamp I set a floor lamp close by....it works perfect.....

I was out & about earlier in the week....and as suspected everything is geared towards Valentines and Easter....

Gotta admit....there are a few adorable items...who doesn't luv a duck?  Or two...

Or a lamb...wearing pink boots?

And you know my love for anything bunny related....this little cupcake looks good enough to eat!

And bunny carrot races?  Yes, please...

I wasn't 100% sure this was a dachshund statue...but the long back certainly suggests it is...might even be a wirehair?

And speaking of wirehair....Liesel spends most days lazying about in front of the fire....usually after a morning walk....

I attended my second learn to Bounce/Jump class...gaining a bit more confidence in the boots!  At least I can let go of a chair...briefly...and was even able to bounce a bit!  My knee was very painful that night....sleep was a long time coming...but it hurt as much if I sit on the sofa!   The next day it felt better.  If nothing else....exercising will make recovery time quicker after having a knee replacement....

Here's your girl ready to kill it at class (sans make-up of course)!  (I snitched the t-shirt from Mr. Seventies...)....

Have an awesome weekend everyone!  I hope you are not snow-bound wherever you are!  Thanks so much for stopping by & drop in anytime....

  1. No snow here in Texas, just very cold temperatures forecasted for us the next few days. We’re not used to teens and freezing rain! Enjoy your bounce classes. RHill, TX
