It's going to be even hotter here today - luv it!! We're getting great use of the pool....daughter is on vacation...she & grand daughter were here one afternoon, then her husband joined us when he finished work & we enjoyed a barbecue & strawberry shortcake for dessert!
Mr. Seventies re-sealed the driveway....even though, as daughter pointed out.... there are companies that do it.....he prefers to do it himself...that is just the way he is. Not a lazy bone in that man's body!! This job requires 3-4 good, dry preferably hot days in a row....likely next year we will have the driveway re-paved...
The first step, done a few days prior was to fill any cracks(so weeds don't poke through - nature hates a vacuum)... in the asphalt with this crack filler....it's a granular product that he tamped into the cracks....one bucket was required...
Then he swept the drive with a larger janitor's broom.....and power washed it fully....I'll be so glad to see the stains covered up...
Re-coat time was 4 hours....it looks so much better! Once completed, curing time is 24 hours.....we parked our SUV over in the neighbour's drive.....
Mr. Seventies will re-assess the driveway in the spring....and decide if it's time to have it re-paved by the professionals....in the meantime....we think the sealer looks great...and stain free! (the stains were caused when our transmission leaked....long since been repaired).....
With the hotter days, we've been walking early mornings on our favourite trail....we've dubbed the "Bunny Trail" as we continue to see bunnies each time we walk.....
Two of my favourite peeps.....Clancy Mae loves walking on the trails.....
Taken from a distance....but look who we saw!! We normally see anywhere from 1 to 5 bunnies either sitting by the trail....or hopping across it.....along with a number of squirrels & chipmunks......
There are a number of bridges we cross....this one has a unique pattern of algae.....likely caused by beavers's dams backing up the stream....some bridges we stop & enjoy ducks swimming by.....
Today forecasts to be 30 degrees Celsius (86 F) with a humidex of 38 C (100 F)......making it feel much hotter.....we stay indoors where it is cooler with the heat pump set on air conditioning during the hottest part of the day (usually 1-3:00 p.m.)....
Monday is Clancy Mae's spay day....we will be happy to have the surgery behind us. While she is under I hope to have her nails trimmed.....great time to do it! We need to drop her off at 7:45 a.m. with no food or drink from the night before.
We took her into our vet clinic last week for weigh in (to get the appropriate flea, tick & wormer medication).....she is up to 8.4 lbs!!! Wow - 3.5 lbs when she arrived in April!! She is growing so fast....
Please keep her in your thoughts....I know she will be fine....but a Mama cannot help but worry!
Sincere thanks for being here today....so appreciated! Have an awesome weekend!!
Til next time....

Will send good vibes to Clancy Mae. I’m sure things will go well. Fun to go on a walk with you. The driveway looks lovely. Kudos to your hubby. Enjoy the weekend. Hugs, Elaine
