Thrifting Finds

The weather has been amazing the past few days....I picked a pretty little bouquet of crocus to add a pop of colour...

I hit a couple of thrift stores...and both were so busy!  I've been advised the best time to thrift...is during the evenings...I'll plan my next outing accordingly...

This large bunny picture is adorable (sorry for the lighting glare)....the price is a bit much tho..

I couldn't resist this little pottery dish...does it look like two eyes & an open mouth?  Not sure what to use it for....I just like it.  After a go in the dishwasher...it cleaned up nice.  Maybe a battery operated votive candle can go inside?  I can't unsee the eyes and mouth...

This vase made it into my cart so fast!!  It was $8.99 - with 30% off....I am obsessed with it...

After a quick go in the dishwasher...it holds faux tulips beautifully!

Most of my vases are clear glass... I 'm keeping my eyes open for ones that are a bit prettier....

I plan to use this $3.99 platter for a dough bowl filled with dip.... plenty of room for chunks of bread, veggies or crackers placed around it....

This screams the 1980's!  Island shaped clocks were all the rage back then!  I think it was a staple for kids in woodworking class at school!  And yes....we had one back then....

This also looks like a woodworking project...it's a little wonky around the edges...but resembles one I purchased a few months ago at a home decor store..

I'm crushing on this little pitcher...it's about 8-9" tall....but with the price tag of $9.99...I left it for someone else to enjoy....

I did get this sign....might look great set with the fall coffee bar....

Disappointed this tray was not glass....but plastic.  I could stand it up in my cabinet...but not a fan of the plastic...so passed on by....

I stopped into Price Mart....a local discount store..(.although I find things to be overpriced there).  Look at these adorable paper napkins tho...

But are they worth the $5.99 price tag?  I love them and maybe next visit I will pick up a pack....

Really cute coasters....but again not worth the price tag....in my opinion....even though they are stone & would be washable & durable....

I only picked up a couple of things....tissue paper and a couple of gift bags.  Switching gears a bit....I hung my forsythia wreath at the back entry.  With the great weather we are itching to get outside & start some yard work...

Look what arrived!  I am obsessed with these Birkenstock clogs!  I'm so tempted to get a pair in blue as well.  They fit amazing....I prefer the strap around the back of my ankle...and plan to get lots of wear  out of them.  I find they run a bit large...(not sold in half sizes)...but not sure if sizing down would work...

I'm waiting for this rug on Amazon to come back in stock...plan to use in the back entry....

Also want to share what my son-in-law won!  The woodworking class in the school he works...built this two seater bench & sold tickets!  His name was drawn!  Daughter asked if I would source cushions... I found a few sets at Wal Mart....she plans to check them out this weekend.    It's going to look great on their patio deck.  The kids did a phenomenal job building it..

I picked up a couple of pool floats...previously we had many...but over the years our supply has dwindled!  I hope to pick up a couple more....some barely last the summer....others we've  had for a few years.  We were down to only a couple, time to replenish....

After today, rain is in the forecast for the next few days.  It will be great to get the lawns and gardens raked...and there are numerous branches scattered around the yard.

Have an awesome weekend!!!   Til next time....
