It's a brand new month!! And one of my favourite months!! Soon the leaves will be changing colours...we've had the pellet stove burning for a few hours each day...just to take the chill off.
And with October comes a visit to the pumpkin patch!
The smaller bales of straw were for sale as well, Mr. Seventies got one of those as well! They have corn stalks for anyone who doesn't grow their own...but we had lots from our own gardens!
Liesel is a huge help getting just the "right" pumpkin...since Mr. Seventies does carve them closer to Hallowe'en!
And fall wouldn't be complete without a potted Mum or two! I tried to pick ones that aren't fully opened. And Mr. Seventies put everything together...
Not wanting to neglect the back door area...we put together a small vignette....after dark the solar candle in the lantern gives a very welcoming glow!
We added a pumpkin to the front step....still waiting for the green pumpkins to turn blue!
I even have my nails decorated for Halloween!
Now that it's officially October...the stores and shops will be full on preparing for the Christmas season! I may have picked up a few things myself! But that is for another day to share!
